What Is a Walk In ?
by Lisa Ballico
Following my own recent walk in experience, I have done a lot of reading and talking to people in the hope of finding out more about the walk in expereince and how it affects individual people.
My own personal walk in experience story is in its final stages of being edited and will be added to the page as soon as it is complete but for now, i thought i would share a little about what i have learned on the path of the Walk In.
Firstly, my own experience with walk in's had been through the pages of a little book called Earth Angels by Doreen Virtue. I had read the book many years back and remember glossing over the walk in section as it clearly did not apply to me or anyone else i knew at that time.
Unfortunatly for me, Doreen's criteria for 'are you a Walk In?"was the only criteria I knew and even when my own experience happened in early 2007. I managed to push aside my thoughts that maybe I was awalk in because i didnt fit Doreen's criteria.
Now dont get me wrong- Doreens criteria is wonderful and it certainly does apply to a lot of walk in's, it is just that, THERE IS SO MUCH MORE that a walk in experience can be.
They are not all overnight life transformations where you wake up next to a stranger, quit your job, dye your hair red and join Greenpeace. Those do happen, but they are not the ONLY way of walking in. Others are more subtle, others are totally different.
So, in my research I have found out a lot of great information and it is that information i wanted to add to my site, to give you a bit of understanding what a walk in experience is and what it isnt.
I am not an expert but I am a very good reader and I am also a walk in.
The following are some points you should know and some links to truly wonderful, straightforward information.
If you have a walk in experience story to share, i would love to read it and will post it here on my website- please fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page with your details.
So, Walk Ins..........
* a walk in occurs when a soul leaves a body and another soul takes over. This can only happen when both souls are in agreeance as to the swap- in most cases it is agreed upon on soul level before the physcial incarnation takes place.
* a walk in gives a sick, tired, burdened soul a chance to leave without incurring karma, and gives another soul a chance to come into the physical and complete life lessons.
*each soul has 12 'aspects' or if you like, 12 different versions of you. The version you are using during this incarnation is only one aspect of you. One aspect of you remains on high during your incarnation- it is kept there upon the highest spiritual level in the highest spiritual vibration. It is your connection to the Divine.
*In some cases a walk in may occur when one aspect of your soul walks out and another walks in. In other cases the residing soul stays with the body but experiences being 'overlighted' which means that the aspect of soul kept on high actually relights the divine energy within the soul that is struggling here with earth life.
*Being 'over lighted' is similar to a walk in in that the residing soul usually changes dramatically after it occurs, however, as no souls walks in or out, it is not an actual walk in.
*Being replaced by another aspect of you, therefore allowing the existing struggling aspect to return to the spiritual realm is a walk in. Again, there will be changes in the person who has experienced the walk in, however while the changes are definate, they are ususally less dramatic that if another soul completely walks in and takes control.
*Walking in is not something done lightly. It is a big thing and causes much upheavel in the interim period. Most people who experience a walk in , do so during a near death experience or an accident or illness.
*The soul that is coming in, can actually spend time with the residing soul in a transition period. This is what happened to me- i actually walked in around about jan 1,2007 and i stayed with her until she left on the 27/7/07. This gave me a better opportunity to adjust to her body and her life. Sometimes there is a transition period, other times there is not.
* a walk in can be traumatic for the new soul and for the people around her. Life does change, sometimes dramatically, other times in more subtle ways, but change it does. Some walkins come with full memory of who they are and where they are from, others come in and need to start from scratch.
* in many case the body retains cellular memory so that the walkin has access to some of the memories and expereinces that the body has lived through previously. This can greatly aid a transition
