Below you will find some of the main characteristics associated with the children known as Indigo & Crystal.
There is much, much, more information available in books & on the net, however as my main purpose here is to give you a bit of an idea of the differences between Indigo's, Crystals & Blue Stars - I will not elaborate too much.
Indigos

*This is certainly not to state that no Indigos have been born outside this period, as this is grossly untrue. One of my dearest friends is an ‘adult indigo’ in her mid 40’s & I have seen recently an indigo child of two years old.
The Indigo children , so named for the colour that reflects in their auras , are souls sent to this world to break down outdated beliefs, authories, regimes & make way for the new. These childen were born with a 'warrior' spirit & energy, were largly non conformist & acutley aware & intuitive. Because of their inability to be restricted, they were often diagonsed as suffering Attention Deficit Disorder or ADD. These were strong yet sensitive kids with a strong sense of their own importance. Their role was to break down barriers & rid the world of outdated systems, beliefs etc. They could be very, very challenging children.

*Like the Indigos, this is not to state that they have not arrived earlier or later than this, this is just the period when the main influx was noted.
Crystal children carry within their auras, opalescent hues or colours- pastels, luminous.
The Crystal Children are a softer , gentler energy than the Indigos before them ( the calm after the storm ?). They are spiritually aware, psychically advanced & extremely sensitive to all aspects of life upon the earth plane.
Many crystal children came to be diagonosed as suffering with Autism or similar illnesses. This came about through the fact that these kids often spoke very little or not at all until a much later than 'usual' age. They are also children very fixed on routine, order & stability & their huge sensitivity to environment, foods, etc often saw them withdraw into themselves. They could communicate without speaking & they learn at their own rate. Crystals are most commonly recognised by the huge luminous eyes that seem to look right through you. They connect to your core- soul to soul- and are caring & loving when they feel totally safe & secure. They are beautiful, special & gifted children with a strong connection to the rocks & crystals of the world.

*. Like the Indigos & Crystals before them, this does not mean that Blue Stars have not come prior to this period & will not come after. It merely means that the majority of these children are arriving now. (although large numbers appear to have arrived in 1998/9 as well)
My own daughter aged 19 & my son aged 13 are both early blue star’s.
The children labeled Blue Stars that are arriving now are a mixture of 'old highly evolved souls' and 'new highly evolved souls'.
Where the Indigos came to mash down structures & belief systems of the man made world, the Blue Stars have come to further that process by removing the man made barriers & class systems that seperate the natural world. By this, I mean that the Blue Stars are here to remove the lines that seperate the human, animal, mineral & plant realms. They are here to teach that all life has purpose and all life has value- that there is NO hierachy within life forms and that all life is equal & special.
To this end, these children have an amazing and profound connection the 'the outdoors' to animals, plants & rocks. They do not look at them and see something seperate or inferior to human life- they look at them & can fell/hear their spirit, their soul. They do not see these other realms as being inferior to human- they see them as Divine creatures and all of us as the same.
Blue Stars are strong kids in their own way - they are working for, with & through the energy of Archangel Michael & his first ray angels.
They are energetic with high activity levels & are adaptable to change. Being guided by Michael, they also have large throat chakra centres , the throat chakra being the centre that controls communication & so have exceptional communication skills from birth, regardless of whether they speak early or not. They are precise & social, yet also, extremely sensitive & aware & hugely empathic to adult energies.
Michael's Blue Stars are also natural healers with the ability to take or wish away pain.
The Blue Star is not a physical mark as such, but I have been told it is a mark placed on the brow chakra of each of these souls while still on soul level. As changes to human cell structure occur as we move closer to ascention, the 'blue star' mark will begin to become obvious on a physical level as well.

I hope this information helps clear up confusion about the Blue Star kids. No one knows their own children like parents/carers do, so you will know, you will be guided to know, which group ( if any) of the above your child sits well in.

Q & A - blocked throat chakra 14/8/07
This em is about my 3yr old son.
About 2 mths ago, he woke up one morning w/ a "stuttering" problem. Literally brought on overnite. He went from wonderfully clear, impeccable speech, pronounciation & communication, to a clear block at his 5th chakra.
It was heartwrenching to watch him struggle. Having had no prior exposure/experience w/ this, I had him seen by our fam GP, a speech clinic for assessment, a speech pathologist (an apt in which I was terribly frustrated by & disappointed. useless. she wanted me to rate him daily w/ "stats"), then for advice to my ND, where we are now working w/ homeopathics, considering cranial sacral work & a Shaman... I had never heard of the term "BLUE STAR Children" before till last pm after reading your article on the topic. when I read that these sensitive souls can often experience illness/blockages in the lung/chest & throat area/5th chakra, I immediately made teh connection w/ my son's current struggle.
Ironically, my son presented w/ the stuttering (overnite) practically to the day that I asked my husband to leave. We are currently separated & have been for 2 mths
He's away for the summer. My son hasn't been told of our 'marital separation'. He & his dad are close... But now after reading your piece on BlueStar kids last nite, i feel i'm in the dark re how to best support, nurture & help heal my son. From the start, I've strongly felt that this needs to be addressed w/ a spiritual approach/sensitivity... Having the kind of awareness that you hold, do you have any ideas that will help my son thru this process? Help!!! Thankyou kindly for reading & listening... Blessings

thank you for your email regarding your son.
little Blue Stars have very, very, large throat chakras which enables them to be very good communicators.
One of the only things that can block that chakra in a blue star child is stress and feeling insecure.
Basically, when they are insecure or worried, they 'shut up' to put it bluntly.
With all that is happening in your life realtionship wise, it is not surprising the little guy is being less articulate than usual. Just keep doing what you are doing with him, mothering, providing lots of attention and nurturing- you are a very good mother and extra cuddles and comfort at this time are just what he needs.
Also, get him outside as much as possible to run around a recharge his batteries.
I am being guided very strongly to tell you to have your little boys eyes checked and there is a weakenss there in one or both of his eyes- i am also being told about the colour of his eyes, are his eyes changing colour or have they recently?
